We recently spent January through March of 2009 working, studying, and exploring New Zealand. We were based in Tauranga, in the bay of plenty on the North Island, an area with beautiful beaches, wonderful people, and lots of agriculture (hence the “bay of plenty”). 
In addition to exploring much of the North Island, we were also able to take a 10-day trip to the South Island and were blown away by the striking beauty.
Although over the course of our 3 months we saw many incredible things, the deep friendships we made will be what we carry with us the most.
